Hey everyone, I just returned from a week at a wonderful place in Dorset.
Monkton Wyld Court is a fantastic gothic rectory set in beautiful grounds with gardens, organic vegetable and fruit gardens, free range chickens, performance spaces, communal rooms, food food and more yummy healthy veggie food. I took the kids to a family week, where we learned about sustainable living, by living in a sustainable environment....not one dull moment, seeing everything gently working around you has to be the best way to appreciate and learn! We took part in workshops including cookery, breadmaking,felt making, dancing, singing, puppet making, hot air balloon making,storytelling, bushcraft, face painting, theatre, fire shows, bat walks at night, drumming by day!
The community are so friendly and helpful, we really did nt want to leave.
I finished my week with an hour of massage......bliss!
I can't reccommend highly enough the wonders of a magical trip to Monkton.........even the price was amazing......ie adult full board including everything mentioned was £195 for the week.
There are workshops and events all year round, and you can also hire the place to do your own workshops with accomodation and food supplied. Or even just chill out with bed and beakfast packages...
We went off to fossil hunt too, and found lots of treasures!!
