Hi,
I have 2 desert cabins ('round here we call 'em shacks...) that could use the basics (doors, windows, electric). I've been trying to get the banks to lend on them, and may soon succeed on that, since the real estate's gone nuts around there since I bought them 2 years ago.
I'm open to anyone willing to swap cabin time for work, or, as soon as I'm successful with the bank, pay cash money. Since I'm hardly ever there, you could potentially do a lot of cabin-sitting if you want.
There's a full-on creative community in the area, lots of services, and a cool political network trying to halt mindless sprawl. (feel free to join...)
Each shack is about 20 x 30, with electric and phone avail. Cell phones work, also, neighbors nearby (not completely isolated.) One shack is near The Palms, a newly-trendy bar-restaurant seemingly in the middle of nowhere, where you can still get a decent burger for cheap. (And get a quart of oil for your ride - seriously, 10W30.)
I'm just thinking of upgrading each place to the cozy-cabin level. Each shack has good framing, though one needs more rehab than the other. I figured, fix the easy one first, then that one's avail while fixing the other.
Just putting it out there. It's sort of hot out there now, but, well, whenever you happen see this, feel free to contact.
