I hope you will forgive my newbie naiveté, but what about building hobbit holes in the current climate. I live in a beautiful village, South Brent, Devon, England. And we are kind of taken with the idea of putting in some unannounced hobbit holes in some of the valleys and the glades for public access and shelter. Their obviously good for private property as well. Or if you were looking to build an alternative campsite where people stayed in tree-houses or hobbit holes that I'm sure would be a marketable hliday alternative. There is a company here in England that has jsut recently started doing this. When it comes to this kind of trend, we are normally behind you guys, but I thouight i would mention it. Re: Hobbit Holes
Wed, December 20, 2006 - 10:00 PMI think boat building technique would be quite helpful in building curves, round hatches and doors. The thing about building anything that isn't plumb, level and square is that it takes about ten times as long to do. I'm attracted to the idea of having a hobbit like house and someday want to build a tree house to live in. -
